Gem Stone Music JA
How Gem Stone Music Consultants Limited collects, uses and protects your information.
Effective 31 October 2026 · Version 2.1
Gem Stone Music Consultants Limited (“Gem Stone”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the Gem Stone Music JA platform, including its website, applications, artist and influencer booking services, event listings and ticketing services.
We determine how personal information is used in operating these services, subject to applicable Jamaican data-protection law.
For privacy enquiries, requests or complaints:
This notice covers visitors, fan accounts, Booking Clients, event promoters, artists and influencers, talent management teams, ambassadors and anyone who contacts us.
It applies alongside our Terms of Use, the Cookie & Tracking Policy and, where they apply to your account, our professional agreements. Those documents deal with contractual matters; this notice deals with your information.
Reading this notice, or acknowledging that you have read it, is not consent to any optional use of your information. Optional uses are described in the section where they arise and each has its own choice.
We collect information you provide, information created by your use of the platform, and limited technical information.
No one is required to provide every category of information.
Gem Stone Music JA uses one account with additive capabilities. Gaining a new capability does not create a second account, and your existing follows, ticket history and authorised booking records stay with the same account.
Fan accounts may browse public profiles, discover and follow artists, influencers and events, purchase tickets where available and contact support. Fan accounts cannot start or reply to professional booking conversations.
Booking Client is a free capability for individuals and organisations requesting talent for private celebrations, weddings, corporate functions, school activities and other legitimate engagements. It does not grant a verified badge, professional verification or event-publishing rights.
Event promoter, artist, influencer and talent management capabilities require additional onboarding, identity verification, agreements and administrative approval. Approval for one does not grant another.
When you activate a capability or accept a document, the platform records which document you accepted, its version and effective date, the content reference, whether the text was verified by a content hash, the time, and your account.
Booking Client activation in particular requires accepting the Booking Client Terms and the Professional Communication Policy. Both acceptances are recorded separately, with their versions, so it is possible to identify exactly which wording you reviewed.
Pages presented for acceptance are the published text at a stable address. A document that has been replaced is never deleted: it stops being offered and remains on record with the acceptances that named it.
We do not treat an earlier short checkbox as acceptance of a document written later. Where a material change requires it, we ask you to review the current text and accept it before continuing the affected activity.
Marketing consent is always separate from these acceptances, is never preselected and is never implied by accepting terms.
For professional accounts that require identity verification, Gem Stone uses Didit, an external identity-verification provider. Where a check is required you are directed to Didit’s hosted process.
Didit may collect and process:
Gem Stone does not collect or retain government-issued ID images, Didit selfie files or biometric templates from Didit. Didit processes those files in its hosted check. Separately, self-registering independent artists and influencers are asked to capture a still selfie in the app for manual Gem Stone review, or request an alternative review method. This photograph is personal information, stored privately and visible only through restricted review access. It is not used for automated facial recognition, biometric-template generation or automated identity matching. Camera capture does not establish liveness.
From Didit we retain only the verification outcome: the provider session reference, a sanitised summary limited to check counts and status, the environment used, the time, the administrative decision and the related history. Manual-review photographs and representation evidence are held separately and never added to a Didit result. These records are linked to your account so approval decisions can be explained and reviewed.
A successful provider check does not by itself grant a verified badge; professional verification remains subject to Gem Stone’s approval process. Administrators may approve eligible accounts through authorised internal procedures where our approved rules permit it.
You may decline an identity check, though this may prevent approval for a capability that requires one. Features that do not require verification remain available. Didit’s own privacy documentation also applies to its processing. Before manual collection, a separate notice explains the purpose, reviewer access, retention and alternative route. You can retake a photograph before submission. Management-listed talent supplies representation evidence instead of meeting the independent selfie requirement.
Where required for a professional application or a booking, we collect business registration, incorporation or authorisation documents and signed agreements.
These are stored privately and access is controlled. They are not published on profiles, not included in public pages and not attached to notification emails. Only authorised staff, and the account that supplied them, can retrieve them.
We do not ask anyone to disguise an identity document as a business document or to send identity images through ordinary upload features.
The platform provides a protected booking communication system for authorised Booking Clients, event promoters, artists, influencers, talent managers and authorised Gem Stone representatives.
A conversation is available to the participants authorised for that enquiry: the person who raised it, the controller of the talent profile concerned where the route requires it, and Gem Stone in its coordination role. Conversations are not publicly displayed and are not used for marketing.
Participants should keep commercial discussion, negotiation and payment inside the platform. Sharing contact details to move a booking off-platform is restricted by the Professional Communication Policy.
Automated screening
Messages are screened before delivery to prevent fraud, unauthorised contact sharing, attempts to move transactions outside the platform and other policy violations.
Screening uses automated rules for recognisable patterns and AI-assisted contextual assessment that takes account of language and expressions commonly used in Jamaica and the Caribbean. A message may be delivered, blocked, or held for review. Held messages are not delivered unless they are cleared.
Where automated assessment is unavailable or inconclusive, the platform holds the message rather than delivering content it cannot assess. The attempt, the outcome and any warning history are recorded so the decision can be explained and appealed.
Automated screening is not routine human reading. A held message is reviewed by an administrator only under the controls described in the next section.
Administrator access
Administrators do not routinely read private booking conversations.
An administrator who is not already a participant may open protected content only where reasonably necessary to investigate a booking dispute, review a suspected policy violation, investigate suspected fraud or abuse, respond to a security concern, or meet a legal obligation.
Before access is granted, the administrator must record a written reason. Access is limited to the content required for that review and logged with the administrator, the reason, the time and the conversation concerned. The log is retained as an audit record, and the operational interface does not expose bulk access to private conversations.
Contact details supplied for your account are not automatically disclosed to artists, talent managers or promoters merely because an enquiry was submitted.
Where operational details are needed to deliver a confirmed engagement, release happens only through an authorised process, after the required checks, and is limited to what the engagement needs. Both sides see when release occurred.
Promoters and Booking Clients may supply coordination details, such as a booking contact name and a social handle, when raising an enquiry. These are restricted coordination records: they are visible to the person who supplied them and to Gem Stone administrators, and they are returned to the other participants only once the release conditions for that enquiry are met.
Registered users may follow eligible artists, influencers and individual events.
You choose, individually, whether a followed profile or event sends you in-app updates. Email and push notifications for follow updates are not currently offered, and are not represented as available. Turning a follow notification off does not affect essential account, booking, transaction or security messages, and unfollowing removes the relationship and stops updates generated by it.
Following a profile does not give access to private conversations, contact details or confidential account information.
Registered users can publish posts and comments. Content you publish is visible to other users and may be visible to visitors, so please do not publish personal information you do not wish to be public.
Users can report content or profiles. A report records who reported what, the category of concern, and the outcome. Reports are reviewed by our moderators, who may remove content, issue a warning, restrict features or suspend an account under our Community Guidelines.
If your content is removed or your account restricted, you can ask for the reason and use the Complaints & Appeals procedure. Reporters’ identities are handled as confidential moderation information.
Deleting content removes it from public view. Moderation records relating to it may be retained as described in section 17.
If you participate in an ambassador programme, we record your referral code, the campaign you are assigned to, referral activity such as sign-ups or conversions attributed to your code, and any agreed promotional fee.
Referral attribution uses the code in a sign-up link and a record of the resulting activity. We do not use it to track your own browsing across other websites.
Ambassador fees are administered manually. No automatic payment schedule is operated, and no payout timing is promised by this notice or by your participation.
When someone signs up using a referral code, the referring ambassador is not given the new member’s personal contact details.
Our newsletter is sent only to people who have given explicit consent, using the consent wording shown on the sign-up form. That consent is recorded separately from any terms acceptance, with the wording used and the time.
Buying a ticket, following an artist, creating an account or activating Booking Client does not by itself subscribe you to marketing. Marketing consent is optional and never preselected.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe route. Unsubscribing stops marketing email to that address and is recorded; transactional messages, such as ticket confirmations, receipts and security notices, may still be sent because they are needed to provide the service you requested.
You may also withdraw marketing consent by writing to support@gemstonemusicja.com.
When you contact support, we record the conversation and any attachments you send so that your request can be handled and, where necessary, reviewed later.
The platform also offers an assisted support chat. Messages sent there may be processed automatically to suggest an answer or to route your request to a person. It does not make decisions about your account.
Please do not send full card numbers, card security codes or identity-document images to support.
Support remains available whether or not your account holds professional messaging privileges.
Essential cookies and platform storage keep the site secure and working: signing you in, remembering your cookie choice and holding a booking or checkout session together.
Optional analytics is the only optional category on this platform. It is off until you accept it, and the analytics script is not loaded before that. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and expires the analytics cookies that can be reached from your browser.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Each decision is recorded with the categories granted, the notice version, the page, the time and a privacy-preserving hash of your network address rather than the address itself. Records are kept so that a choice can be demonstrated and reviewed.
The Cookie & Tracking Policy lists each item, or you can open now.
Professional accounts accumulate a history: applications submitted, verification cases and their revisions, decisions and the reasons shared, moderation events including warnings and enforcement steps, and appeals.
This history is kept so that decisions can be explained, repeated behaviour recognised and appeals assessed fairly. It is available to the account holder in respect of their own account, and to administrators in the course of their duties.
Internal review notes written by staff are not shared with the account holder and are not included in notification emails.
Administrative access to protected conversations, refund decisions, payout decisions and account changes is logged in audit records that identify the actor, the action, the reference and the time.
We use personal information to:
Depending on the activity and applicable law, these uses rely on performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating a secure platform, or your consent where consent is required.
We do not treat acceptance of our terms, or acknowledgement of this notice, as blanket consent to unrelated processing.
Gem Stone does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes. Where payment is taken, it is handled by an authorised payment provider through its own secure process, and we hold transaction references, amounts, currencies, statuses, fees, refunds and settlement records.
No live payment gateway is connected to the platform at the date of this version.
Simulated (“sandbox”) payment functions do not process real card payments and do not move real funds. When live processing begins, this section and the notice version will be updated to identify the provider and describe the implemented flow before any real payment is accepted.
We share information only where reasonably necessary:
Public profiles and approved event listings display information intended for public presentation. Private verification records, business documents, booking conversations, financial records and moderation records are not part of that public presentation.
We do not sell personal information.
Automated technologies, including AI-assisted tools, support functions such as message screening, support assistance and content generation for our own administration. Professional messages may therefore be analysed by automated services to detect prohibited contact sharing, fraud and other policy violations.
Automated analysis does not mean every message is read by a person. Where a message is held, a human reviews it under the controls in section 8.
Our platform provider’s published information states that data on plans other than its Enterprise offering may be used to improve and train the provider’s AI models, and that the exclusion applies automatically to Enterprise workspaces. We do not hold an assurance that information submitted through this platform is excluded from that use, and we do not promise that it is.
We will update this notice if the applicable arrangements or available controls change, or if written confirmation of a different position is obtained.
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected for, subject to legal obligations, disputes, fraud prevention and legitimate recordkeeping.
The general periods above remain subject to review. New manual-verification evidence has separately configurable retention rules for each evidence type and case status. No universal 365-day period is imposed. An hourly task expires review access only when an administrator has approved the applicable rule. Missing or conflicting rules do not trigger automatic expiry, and legacy evidence is not automatically migrated or deleted.
A documented dispute or legal hold postpones evidence expiry until an authorised reviewer releases it. Expired or removed evidence cannot be newly approved, and only minimal type, decision, actor and timing history is retained for review. Removing review access is not the same as erasing stored file bytes: permanent erasure currently remains pending an operator-confirmed storage-deletion process. We do not claim automatic permanent file deletion or immediate revocation of an already issued short-lived download link.
Gem Stone Music JA is built and operated on Base44 platform services, with application data hosted outside Jamaica, including in the United States, and some processing may occur in other jurisdictions.
Media such as images and video may be delivered through third-party delivery infrastructure. Identity verification is performed by Didit through its hosted process.
Our platform provider publishes information about its security measures, data-protection arrangements and international transfer mechanisms. We rely on those arrangements and review them as part of our own governance.
We do not represent that all personal information remains physically within Jamaica. Where information is processed outside Jamaica, we seek to apply appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards consistent with applicable requirements.
Under applicable Jamaican data-protection law you may have rights to be informed, to access your information, to have inaccurate information corrected, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to other remedies available under that law.
Requests may be sent to support@gemstonemusicja.com.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting, and we may apply lawful exceptions, including where information relates to another person, to an investigation, or to a legal obligation.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal, or processing based on another valid basis, and does not require deletion of records we must lawfully keep.
If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner where the matter falls within its jurisdiction, and you may use our Complaints & Appeals procedure.
Some events, particularly school activities, involve minors. We seek to avoid collecting unnecessary information about children.
Ticket purchases, participation and related arrangements should be managed by a parent, guardian or authorised school representative. Students are not required to create professional profiles simply to attend an event.
Accounts are not intended for children to use independently, and additional safeguards apply where information about a minor is processed.
We maintain technical and organisational measures intended to protect information against unauthorised access, misuse, disclosure, alteration and loss. These include:
No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Where a security incident occurs, we investigate and take appropriate action, including notifying affected people and the relevant authority where the law requires it.
We may update this notice to reflect new services, security measures, legal requirements or changes in how information is processed. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
Where a change materially affects how information is used or what has been agreed, we communicate it through the platform and ask for renewed acceptance before the affected activity continues.
Earlier versions are not deleted; they remain on record with the acceptances and acknowledgements that named them.
