Gem Stone Music JA
What is permitted in booking conversations, how messages are screened, and what happens when a rule is broken.
Effective 31 October 2026 · Version 1.0
Booking conversations are where performances are agreed and paid for. Keeping them on the platform protects both sides: it keeps a record of what was agreed, it prevents fraud, and it allows a dispute to be reviewed on evidence.
This policy applies to every authorised participant: Booking Clients, event promoters, artists, influencers, talent managers and Gem Stone representatives. It must be accepted before professional messaging is enabled.
Professional messaging is available only to accounts that hold the applicable capability: Booking Client or promoter access for the enquirer, and an approved or managed profile route for talent.
Fan accounts cannot start or reply to professional conversations. A participant may only take part in a conversation they are authorised for, and may not add others to it.
Support conversations are separate and remain available to everyone.
A booking conversation is for:
Keep messages relevant to the booking. Personal or unrelated messaging, especially once it is unwelcome, is not permitted.
Do not use the platform to share contact details in order to move a booking, its negotiation or its payment off the platform.
This includes phone numbers, email addresses, social handles and messaging usernames, links to contact pages, QR codes, and attempts to disguise them (for example spelled out, spaced out, or written as words).
Operational contact information is released through an authorised process after the booking is confirmed. You do not need to ask for it in a message, and asking for it before confirmation does not bring release forward.
Promoters and Booking Clients may supply coordination details when raising an enquiry. Those details are restricted: they are not visible to the other participants until release conditions are met.
Payments for marketplace bookings must be made through Gem Stone. Arranging a direct payment, requesting a deposit to a personal account, or offering a discount for paying privately is prohibited.
Attempting to avoid commission, or to record a lower price on the platform than the price actually agreed, is prohibited and may result in the cancellation of the booking and restriction of the account.
Screening happens before delivery, in two layers:
Most messages are delivered without any human seeing them. Screening is automated; it is not routine human reading of your conversations.
Each screened message receives one of these outcomes:
Holding is the default when a message cannot be assessed. If the automated assessment is unavailable or inconclusive, the platform withholds the message rather than delivering content it cannot evaluate.
A held message is not a delivered message. Until it is cleared, the recipient has not received it, and the sender should assume it has not been sent.
A held message is reviewed by an administrator, who may clear it for delivery or confirm it as a violation. Reviewers record the outcome.
Review access to held content requires a written reason and is limited to what the review needs. Each access is logged with the administrator, the reason, the time and the conversation concerned. Administrators do not have bulk access to private conversations through the operational interface.
Internal review notes are not shared with participants; the outcome and reason given to the account holder are.
Enforcement is proportionate and recorded against the account. Repeated or serious violations may lead to:
A confirmed violation counts towards later decisions, and the history is visible when a decision is reviewed. A single held message that is cleared does not count as a violation.
Restrictions apply to the capability concerned where that is a proportionate response.
You can report a concern about a booking conversation from inside the workspace. Reports are reviewed by Gem Stone, and the other participant is not told who reported them.
If you feel unsafe or are being harassed, stop replying and report the conversation.
If a message of yours is held, blocked, or an enforcement step is applied, you can ask for the reason and appeal. Appeals are submitted from the conversation where the step was applied, or through support.
The Complaints & Appeals procedure explains what to include and what happens next. We do not promise a fixed response time; we do commit to reviewing an appeal on the record, including the message and the reason it was actioned.
Conversations are visible to the participants authorised for the enquiry and are not published. They are not used for marketing.
Our Privacy Notice explains what is recorded, how long it is kept, and the controls on administrator access. Automated screening and human moderation are distinguished there and in this policy: most messages are never read by a person.
When a booking is confirmed and its checks are complete, the operational contact details needed to deliver the engagement are released through the platform to the participants who need them. Release is recorded, including when it happened and on what basis.
Release is limited to what the engagement needs. It is not permission to move the commercial relationship off the platform.
This is version 1.0, effective 31 October 2026. Material changes are presented for acceptance, with the version and time recorded. Earlier versions are retained with the acceptances that named them.
