Gem Stone Music JA
The terms you accept when you activate a Booking Client account and request talent through Gem Stone Music JA.
Effective 31 October 2026 · Version 1.0
These terms apply between you (“you”, the “Booking Client”) and Gem Stone Music Consultants Limited(“Gem Stone”) when you request, negotiate and pay for a booking of an artist, influencer or other talent through the Gem Stone Music JA platform.
They sit alongside the Terms of Use, the Professional Communication Policy and the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which also apply.
A Booking Client is a customer, not an event promoter. These terms do not make you responsible for listing or selling tickets, holding promoter accounts, or meeting promoter obligations. If you also hold a promoter account, the Event Promoter Master Agreement applies to that activity separately.
Booking Client activation is free. You need an account with a valid email address, a name you book under, and acceptance of these terms and the Professional Communication Policy.
Activation does not require business documentation and does not require an identity check with our verification provider. It does not grant professional verification, a verified badge, an event-publishing privilege, or the right to sell tickets.
Additional checks may be requested where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or the particular transaction — for example a high-value booking or an overseas payment.
You must be at least 18 to hold a Booking Client account and to enter a booking agreement.
Booking Client accounts are for legitimate engagements: private celebrations, weddings, birthdays, corporate functions, hospitality appearances, school and community activities, festivals, and similar events.
We do not accept requests for:
We may decline or close an enquiry that appears not to be a genuine booking.
An enquiry records the talent requested, event type, date, time and location, audience size, budget and a short description of what you need. Providing accurate information avoids delays.
You may state a budget, or indicate that it is to be discussed. A stated budget is an indication, not an offer accepted by Gem Stone or by talent.
Quotations and offers are made inside the booking workspace and record the amount, currency and what is included. An offer may expire, and may be revised before it is accepted.
An enquiry or quotation is not a confirmed engagement.
Talent availability is checked before a booking is confirmed. A date shown as available is an indication at that time; it does not reserve the talent and it may change until confirmation.
A booking becomes binding only when all of the following are complete: a booking agreement has been accepted, the deposit has cleared, the applicable checks (including any approval and availability confirmation) have passed, and Gem Stone has issued written confirmation.
We do not guarantee talent availability before confirmation, and nothing on this platform creates such a guarantee.
Before payment, the booking agreement sets out the performer, the date and performance times, the venue and location, the agreed price and currency, the deposit and balance, the payment deadlines, what the client must provide (sound, stage, power, hospitality, access), cancellation terms, and contact release arrangements.
Review it before accepting. Once accepted, it is binding on both sides and is recorded with its version and the time of acceptance. A material change requires a revised agreement, which must be accepted again; earlier accepted versions are kept on record.
Where technical requirements are agreed, the client is responsible for providing them, or for any agreed substitute arranged in writing.
The standard deposit is 50% of the agreed booking price unless the agreement states otherwise. The balance and its deadline are stated in the agreement.
Payment is requested only after the agreement is in place and Gem Stone has approved the booking for payment. Payments are made to Gem Stone, which holds the funds and administers commission under the marketplace rules.
Payment alone does not confirm a booking. Written confirmation follows the checks described above.
Gem Stone is not a bank or escrow institution. Live card processing has not yet been enabled on the platform; only simulated payments are currently available, and they do not transfer real funds.
Do not send card numbers or security codes by message, email or support chat.
The marketplace commission is 5% of the agreed booking price and is collected from the deposit, as described in the Terms of Use. It is not charged again on the balance.
Processing charges are separate from commission. They are disclosed in the booking summary before you accept, and they never reduce the commission base or the amount of the talent’s allocation.
Any other charge that applies to your booking — for example a disclosed travel or equipment cost — is itemised in the agreement before payment. No undisclosed charge is added after acceptance.
Prices are stated in the agreed currency; a converted amount is an estimate unless it is the amount actually charged.
Cancellation terms for your booking are those in the agreement you accepted. We do not apply a universal cancellation penalty to bookings, and deposits are not automatically forfeited.
If talent or Gem Stone cannot provide the agreed service, you may accept an agreed replacement or reschedule, or receive a refund of the amount paid for the unperformed service.
The Cancellation & Refund Policy sets out the detail, including how commission and allocations are reversed when a booking is cancelled.
Talent, through their management or account controller, is responsible for performing the engagement as agreed, for arriving in time with the required material prepared, and for behaving professionally.
Management is responsible for acting within the authority it holds for the profiles it controls, and for responding to enquiries it has accepted responsibility for.
Gem Stone is responsible for coordinating the enquiry, presenting the commercial terms, holding and disbursing funds under the marketplace rules, checking availability, issuing confirmation, and handling complaints under the published procedure. Gem Stone is not the performer and does not control how talent performs.
Booking conversations stay in the Gem Stone workspace. Sharing contact details to arrange the engagement off-platform, or arranging payment outside the platform, is prohibited and is screened for automatically.
Operational contact details are released through the platform, after payment and confirmation, for the limited purpose of delivering the engagement.
We may restrict booking activity where these terms or the Professional Communication Policy are breached, where fraud or a security risk is suspected, or where a legal requirement applies. We tell you the reason and how to appeal, except where doing so would compromise an investigation or affect another person.
You can use the Complaints & Appeals procedure for any decision affecting your account or a booking.
Raise a concern with us first through support, giving the booking reference and what happened. We will review the record, including the accepted agreement, payment records and messages.
These terms are governed by Jamaican law, subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable jurisdiction rules. Where a matter cannot be resolved through our procedure, it may be brought before the competent Jamaican courts or another forum where consumer law requires.
This is version 1.0, effective 31 October 2026. When these terms are materially changed, the new version is presented for acceptance before new bookings continue, and the version, date and time of that acceptance are recorded.
An earlier acceptance is never treated as acceptance of wording published later, and earlier versions are kept on record with the acceptances that named them.
