Gem Stone Music JA
The standards for posts, comments, event listings and conduct across the Gem Stone Music JA community.
Effective 31 October 2026 · Version 1.0
These guidelines apply to everything published on Gem Stone Music JA: posts, comments, images, profile information, event listings and the way people treat each other in public areas of the platform.
They work together with the Terms of Use. Booking conversations are governed separately by the Professional Communication Policy.
Share your own work, your perspective and your events. Keep it relevant to Caribbean music, entertainment and events.
Do not publish:
Criticism is welcome. Abuse dressed as criticism is not.
Do not target a person with repeated unwanted contact, insults, threats, sexual attention, or coordinated pile-ons. Do not use another person’s image, name or likeness to humiliate or misrepresent them.
If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Continuing is harassment regardless of how the first message was intended.
Report harassment rather than responding to it.
Do not present yourself as another artist, influencer, manager, promoter, venue or member of Gem Stone staff, and do not create an account or profile that implies a representation you do not hold.
A management account may operate profiles for talent it represents, provided the relationship is genuine and the account is approved for that role.
Parody or commentary accounts should be clearly labelled and must not pose as the real person.
Do not use the platform to obtain money or information dishonestly. This includes fake events, fake tickets, fake bookings, advance-fee approaches, investment schemes, and requests to move a payment outside the platform.
Tickets and bookings must be sold through the platform. Selling a ticket to a buyer privately, or offering to “hold” a ticket for payment elsewhere, is prohibited.
Report suspected fraud immediately; we may suspend activity while investigating.
Do not present false information about an event: a different performer, a different venue, a different date, or a price that will not be honoured. Do not use a photograph that misrepresents the act or the venue.
Do not claim a verification badge or approval you do not hold. Badges are granted only by Gem Stone and are displayed from our own records.
If an event changes materially, the listing must be updated and ticket holders notified, under the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
A listing must state the event name, promoter, date, time, venue, ticket categories, prices, fees, age or admission conditions, and any material restriction.
Tickets may only be listed by an approved promoter or by Gem Stone, and every listing must have an approved Event Commercial Schedule before sales open.
Listings must not include contact details intended to take sales off the platform, or links to unapproved ticket sellers.
Only publish material you created or are authorised to use. That includes music, video, photography, artwork and written content.
If you use another artist’s track in a clip, you are responsible for having the right to do so. Credit is not a substitute for permission.
If you believe your work has been used without permission, report it with the material identified and the basis of your claim. We may remove the content while it is reviewed.
Every post, comment and profile can be reported from the platform. Reports record the content, the category of concern and the outcome.
Reports are treated confidentially. The person reported is not told who reported them, and deliberately false reports made to silence someone are themselves a breach of these guidelines.
For urgent safety concerns, contact support directly as well as reporting the content.
What happens depends on the seriousness and the history:
We give a reason for a removal, warning, restriction or suspension, and the route to appeal, except where doing so would compromise an investigation, expose a reporter, or breach a legal restriction.
Serious matters, including threats and fraud, may also be reported to the police or another competent authority.
You can appeal a moderation decision through the Complaints & Appeals procedure. Include the content or account concerned and why you think the decision was wrong.
An appeal is reviewed against the record, and the outcome is explained to you.
